As a member of the FMB, we commit to the FMB Code of Practice which can be found on their website. This details that we will -
- Never quote on a project for which we don't have time to complete or otherwise cannot do.
- Make sure we have sufficient public liability and employer's liability insurance conver for the contract.
- Inform you of any unavoidable problems or delays as early as possible.
- Make sure you have all the professional advice you need if it is a large or complex job.
- Confirm in writing and agree with you any changes to the work or extra costs before work begins.
- Our estimate will include - the price, what is included in the price, and what form of agreement will be used between us and you.
- Our contract will state - how long the job will take, when the work can start, and whether the work is covered by an insurance-backed warranty.
- Alternatively, we may provide you with a daywork rate and provide you with a copy of standard terms and conditions.
- We will proceed with the work according to the estimate and our agreement with you, and brief you regularly on our progress.
- We will supply you with samples of materials and fittings if required.
- All of our staff will always treat you and your property with respect and ensure that the site remains a safe and healthy environment.
- We will take responsibility for any sub-contractors we hire.
- We will leave the site clean, tidy and ready for use and dispose of any waste properly.
- You will be given any relevant instructions and guarantees and properly briefed on any maintenance or operating issues.
- A date will be arranged for us to reeturn and complete any defects which may have arisen during the first few months.
